Today was the first day I felt slightly normal again after chemo.
Up until now the indigestion has been so uncomfortable its kept me awake at night and nothing seemed to help...sleeping upright, different teas, eating healthy and general medication. I constantly felt like I had a lump in my chest and a feeling like I needed to burp!
Finally it's calmed down and I was able to sleep, maybe not until gone midnight, but it was at least a good sleep!
Along with the indigestion the aches and pains have been pretty bad due to the injections to boost my white blood cells. So I've been taking quite strong co-codamol for that. Luckily that helps me sleep too!!
As its Wednesday its PICC line dressing change day, meaning I get to see my cousin who is a District Nurse. It's been so nice being able to catch up with her regularly and see her in action!
We are the same age so we grew up together. She was always the timid one when we were little and I looked after her, but now she looks after me! I'm so impressed that she is a nurse and is continuing her development in her role. Its not something I could do! We are quite different in that way, I can weld, fix cars and technically minded! I can't and won't even change a kids nappy!! She is the best Cousin, Nurse, Mum, Wife and Sister! Thanks Bell x x

Today I had enough energy to get the hot tub out with the help from my neighbour. But it's horrible how unfit I feel. I literally cleaned around the hot tub, which is only 2m across so nothing massive, and I was so out of breath and tired I had to sit and rest for 5 mins...I've not been the fittest person in quite a while but I could manage a 10-20 mins run at one stage! Just walking up and down the stairs is enough at the moment!
I do wonder if it's the chemo or lack of exercise that makes me feel like this? Probably a bit of both!
Anyway, back to the hot tub. Got it all cleaned and put the new matting down to protect the bottom. Now I had to just sit and wait for it to be filled. That's when the clouds came over and it started to rain! Bloody typical. Luckily my nice new parasol would keep me dry!
Hot tub full, I'm now knackered, again! So I got back in my PJ'S and into bed for a nap. Bit could I sleep....no! Argh.
Oh well, more TV and cat cuddles to relax.
Least when I get up tomorrow the Hot tub should be a nice toasty 38° and I can sit and chill in it for as long as I want! This should help some of my aches and pains.
I'm just wondering how cold my head will get.....?
I’m glad I can help ♥️ Love you! Xxxx
