I had my genetics results back this week and the results are normal.

Meaning my cancer was completely random. It wasn't genetic or hormonal, it was just cells in a specific part of the body grow and reproduce uncontrollably.

It just shows how important it is to get to know you body and regularly check for any changes.

I have my last chemo on the 20th Aug, Whoop! In one small way im going to miss it, but in another big way I cant wait to get the PICC line out or my arm so I can go swimming and soak in the hot tub!

I've just had a call from the Beacon Centre in Taunton, I have to go for a CT scan next week ready for Radiotherapy. They apply small dots to show where they have to focus the therapy. Then all going well I think it will start around the middle of September.

For now, I'll just carry on with the side effects from chemo....I had a slight red mark come up on my bad boob and my nipple has been more tender than normal. I rang the breast care team and they asked me to pop in to get it checked out. So the next day i popped to Yeovil Hospital and saw one of the nurses. She had a look and said its more and likely either a side effect of the chemo or a bit of Lymphedema. I just have to keep an eye on it and if it gets any worse to go back and see them.

Lymphedema is swelling due to build-up of lymph fluid in the body. Lymph nodes act like a drain in your sink. If the drain is clogged, the fluid cannot drain. It usually happens in the arms or legs, but can occur in other parts of the body.

Other small issues I have at the moment is a block duct on my eye which is a bit red and swollen and a spot or in growing hear on my head.

The last 2 nights ive been using Magnesium Sulphate to try and draw the spot out. You need to cover that with a plaster or dressing to keep the paste in place. It is really good stuff! But I had to laugh this morning, as i pulled the plaster off I pulled a load of hair out as well! No i have slight bold patches again!

Check out the Pic below for a laugh...Spot the bad eye, bold patches and bed head! I'm so attractive! lol

Its nice to know I'm near the end of my treatment, even starting to plan holidays and going back to work. I know work will be a struggle, as my brain get tired very quickly and the work I do is quite mentally exhausting, but I'm sure I will get in the swing of things quite quickly. Luckily they have been very supportive and will allow me a staggered return to work.

Anyway, thats enough blurb for now. Need to rest up ready for a Ghost Hunt we are going to locally tonight!

Take it easy everyone....and remember to check yourself!
