So, Friday was my last chemo...that's 8 cycles done.
From left to right...
Fluorouracil
Epirubicin
Cyclophosphamide
Thats today's cocktail!

Unfortunately today wasn't so smooth sailing. There was a delay in getting a chair free to a poorly patient. I'm quite surprised in the 8 times I've been this is the first time I've heard of anyone being poorly.
It was about a 45min wait and I was already feeling nauseous before the treatment had started!
The nurse came out and gave me my pre-meds in the waiting room and then I went and sat outside for a bit.
I finally got called in and sat in a chair next to the window. The nurse today wasn't one of the regulars and wasn't really that informative on what was going on. Even if this was my last one it's always nice to know what's going on.
An hour in I was so knackered I just wanted to sleep. I couldn't wait to get home!

The day before the chemo I went to Musgove hospital for a CT scan ready for Radiotherapy.
They lay you out on this bed and get you in position. Then they give you a quick scan. This is to help pin point where the Radiotherapy will be administered.
Then then apply a bit of ink to your skin and push it in with a needle, just like a tattoo, just not as deep. They can fade over the years.
The most pronounced one is the one on my chest, it looks like a small black freckle. I also have 2 small ones on each side as well.

I have all my dates for radiotherapy, it starts on the 16th September for 2 weeks (minus the weekends) so 10 sessions altogether.
Each appointment is about 30 mins long and I would need to travel to Taunton everyday, which is a bit of a pain as traffic is terrible at the moment.
I might be lucky and be able to stay at my sisters a bit as she live in Taunton, so it would cut down my travel time a bit. All depends on how I feel after treatment. If I'm too tired to drive I might have to change my plans.
Anyway, I'll come to that in a few weeks.
I get my picc line removed next week, that's one bit I'm looking forward to. Can't wait to have a proper shower without a waterproof sleeve. Also to have a swim in the sea and a good soak in the hot tub!
For now I just need to get over this last lot of chemo. Got a week or so of feeling nauseous and tired...and spending it in my PJ'S!
Night all!
