Have you ever watched Flight of the Navigator? Well yesterdays session reminded me of the film as the head of the machine rotated this time. I'm having boost treatment in these last 5 sessions, which means its a bit more localised that the others.
Anyway, with the head of the machine spinning round it reminded me of Max, the funny machine head thing in the spaceship.
Then while laying there I also felt like James Bond laying on the table with the laser coming at him!
But I assure you, there is nothing scary about this treatment, Its a walk in the park compared to Chemo.
Only 4 more to go!

While in the waiting room I was chatting to a nice lady. Possibly in her late 70's, bright as a tac. She went on how she had breast cancer 9 years ago, has a mastectomy, shes lost weight due to the current treatment for cancer of the womb and now her fake boob is too big! She also said how shes had nodules on her lungs still that are being kept at bay with drugs and that she has to be greedy and have more than one type of cancer.
It really puts it into perspective how cancer can affect anyone at anytime, doesn't matter how healthy you are or what age. But, she was similar to me in the respect of being so positive about it all, You just get on with the treatment and carry on living the best life you can.
Life is far too short and so very delicate. I have too many friends suffering with Mental Health Issues, Chronic Illnesses, Hidden Disabilities and more.
So please be kind to each other, you dont know what people might be suffering with.
