7. Coppafeel

15th December, I get up and shower like any normal day. I always have a good feel around my boobs when I shower, just in case. I got out the shower and was drying off and I placed my hand on my boobs and pushed them flat.

What’s that?

I’ve not noticed that before.

A lump in my right boob just below my nipple.

I walked downstairs to Dan and asked him to have a feel. Have you noticed that before?

No. Shit. That’s new.

I got dressed and went online to request a call from the doctor. He called later that day, Dr Matthew, as he’s known by, he always calls me Mrs Littlejohn. Id spoken to him a few times lately due to Fibro Flare ups, he’s been very attentive and helpful so I was quite glad when it was him that rang me.

“So you say you have found a lump”

We went on chatting about it. He explained there is no point me going into the surgery as he wouldn’t be able to tell me anymore than confirming it’s a lump, so he referred me to the Breast Clinic and I would hear from them in 2 weeks.

A week or so past and I had an appointment letter turn up for the 29th December for an ultrasound and possible Biopsy.
